As some of you know, since losing loads of weight, I've been having trouble with my gall bladder. Well, I'm having it removed using a new and experimental procedure on Thursday 18th March 2010.
Normally, with keyhole surgery, they'd make three incisions and remove the organ that way. However, I've given consent for the surgeon to try out a new method involving only one incision and some microwaves. They're estimating that I'll go in early in the morning, have the op, then be out in the late afternoon assuming there are no complications. As this is an experimental procedure, there are no precedents, but the number crunchers have given it a 2% mortality rate. I can live with that (pun intended).
Anyway, I'll be housebound for at least 7 days afterwards, so that'll give me plenty of time to piss around with you guys
