One thing I wish we had over here in the states would definitely be more advanced cellular phones.

I ended up with a reconditioned SE c905. The camera in it is perfect for what I need (photographing experiments, my cat, and drunk people). The GPS and Wi-Fi are just added bonuses, plus the 7-day alarm feature is great. No need to set my alarm for a different time every day.

I have actually been working as a cellphone rep for AT&T for the past 2 years, and I have a Blackberry Bold 9000 that I bought outright without a contract (cellphone perks come in the form of cheap monthly bills lol).

I actually have no problems with lock ups anymore, as I have a program called "QuickPull" that I have set to reboot my phone everynight at 2am while I'm sleeping. Solved any problems I have with memory and with the phone locking up.

The new Bold 9700 is even better because it gets rid of the trackball... which is the only thing I have problems with on my berry. I have little to no "hourglass syndrome", and Blackberry AppWorld is starting to get some really great free apps.

I hate to admit that I'm a Blackberry fanboi now... but I have every reason to be - I get alot more done with my berry, RIM has treated me extremely well, and it gave me a reason to get rid of my LG Vu CU920 lol

Sony Ericsson  W760a, it's a walkman phone, so with a memory stick added, I just swap music from my PC.  No switching from my MP3 player to the phone.  I do it all with via bluetooth.  My wife has an LG Shine.  I am going to give my phone to my daughter and get myself a new one.

I had a Blackberry somewhere around 2003, and hated it. Looking at reviews, I see that the same problems (lockups, crashes, reboots, etc) are still plaguing them. If they can't fix their act in 6 years, then I don't really want to give them any money.

Oh, and I'm not really keen on the key layout to be honest. I'm gonna head into the city on Tuesday and have a look at some models 'in the flesh' as it were. Hopefully that will help me decide.

I'm having a bloody nightmare trying to pick a new one. I had chosen a Samsung Tocco, and it's a great phone, but the screen auto-locks during calls and there's no way to stop it. This means that using automated services (press 3 for this option etc) is a real pain. Oh, and it confirmed my suspicion that my fingers are too sausage-like for a touch screen.

All I need is a decent camera, an organiser that I can sync with the PC, SMS, MMS, and at least 100 hours standby time. Sounds simple, right? Well, things like GPS and such keep distracting me. Here are the phones I'm considering at the moment:

Nokia N86 (bit expensive)

Nokia 6700 Classic (flat keys)

Nokia 6220 Classic (looks a bit too much plastic, and camera might be shit)

SE C510 (only had one SE before, and hated it)

SE W995 (as above)

What have you guys got and what do you think of it?
