Having played every class up to at least level 20, I've cancelled my pre-order.

I'm seriously amazed at how basic and lifeless the game is. They must have blown their budget on the voice acting (which I can't stand).

If there's enough of my NA friends going to play with the intention of forming a guild etc, then I will. However, it's most likely that I'll stick to EU servers from now on.

In Rift, I'd originally rolled on an EU server, but swapped so I could play with Jones, Servo, Avet etc. After a week or two of having trouble finding groups, having higher-level toons 'steal' my mobs for kicks, and being called 'n00b' and other insults if I ever messed up a heal or something, I went back to the EU server

Certainly was not expecting a response by this point.  Good to hear from you and that it isn't awful since I have already convinced 2 people for sure to get it and probably another 2 before launch.  I hope that is the case with cutscenes, was not loving that in Champions for the limited time I played that.  Will you be on U.S. servers by chance?

Flipping heck! I'd almost forgotten about this site. I only visited to copy the database (gonna 're-brand' as www.hairyjedi.com again). Heh

I've pre-ordered. I've been playing in beta and it is a great game if you treat it as a pick up/put down casual sort. Consular is almost exactly like cleric in Rift (tank, healer, dps, or utility) depending on how you spec your toon. Basically the same as the Sith Inquisitor, but with better dental hygiene.

My only 'real' problem with the game atm is the inability to bypass cutscenes, though this feature will be enabled for launch....apparently.

Well I can't say I'm optimistic about it. Looks like the combination of EA and Star Wars is about what you'd expect in the current market of MMO's, all about marketing for the up front money and no longevity to gameplay.  That aside, I did pre-order not even knowing what the hell Jedi Consular is going to end up being with no information released.  Anyone else going to pick this up still?
