I keep getting asked what games I'm looking forward to, so here's a little guide for anyone interested.

Currently, I'm playing World of Warcraft on an EU server called Kul Tiras. I chose to play the side of Horde as I have RL friends there and they give me stuff. I don't know how long WoW will keep me entertained, but I'm certainly enjoying it more this time around.

The next one coming out is Star Trek Online in early February. The NDA allows me to say that I've been in beta for a while and I placed my pre-order as soon as I was able. I expect the game to keep me entertained for about 4-6 months with the content I've already seen. I've purposely not been paying attention to things that Cryptic plan for after launch, so maybe there'll be pure gold to come.

The only other games that I'm really interested in are Star Wars: The Old Republic and The Secret World. The appeal of SWtOR is obvious - it's Star Wars! However, unlike the masses, I'm not much of a Bioware fan, and I'm really bothered by the announcement that it will be fully voiced with no subtitles. I normally have game dialogues turned right down so they don't interfere with hearing people on ventrilo, so this could well turn out to be a game breaker for me. We'll have to see.

The Secret World sound like a lot of fun to me. It's set in modern times and is a game of intrigue and espionage. I like the sound of what they're doing, and I think that Funcom have learned a lot from Age of Conan.
