I like the game. I find it fun and I love the mechanics. I love the way it looks and sounds too.
However, since beta turned into early access, I have had terrible latency troubles, as have many others globally, but the worst sufferers are in Western Europe. I, for example, have just played fine for almost an hour, then had to log off as ~4 second lag in combat isn't fun. The dropped connections are a trifle annoying too

As far as I can tell, It's being caused by a combination of trans-Atlantic network issues (thanks, Level 3) and the server architecture. I've run loads of tests and forwarded my findings to the FE team, but they're proving as completely useless as when I had the account issue. There are multiple threads in the tech support sections of their forum that are filled with people echoing my issue.
This brings me on to another issue. The forum community is generally shit. Really, really shit. I'm talking World of Warcraft shit!
I was watching another 'lag' thread develop this morning, and there were people from the EU explaining their problems and asking for an official response (which I've never seen happen yet). After an hour or so, some bright spark chimes in with "If we hadn't saved your ass in WW2, you wouldn't even be playing this game", to which (as I'm sure you can imagine) others responded. After another 2 hours or so, a mod finally gets around to clearing the thread up, but 'accidentally' misses a few sly comments about the US playerbase being able to afford better computer parts. This sort of thing happens a lot. If they wanted a US-only game, then it should not have been released to the rest of the world.
I even often see one of the GMs swearing in-game, and maybe I'm just being old, but I really don't think that's appropriate.
I'm still on my old rig btw, and have no hardware problems running the game. I'm sure you all appreciate that I can tell the difference between system and server lag

My conclusion: Great game, shit server, shit company, shit community. I won't be renewing when my free time ends on 22nd October unless there is some major improvement. With the massive amount of preorders and presales that have been bought (early figures are showing 300k+), then they certainly have the money coming in to be able to make the necessary changes.
Help me Obi-Wan Bioware; you're my only hope.
